·         Guest Speaker for the 2012 Dominion Provincial Championship
7. What is your favourite part about volunteering?
·         I enjoy meeting new people when I volunteer.  The connections that you make are priceless.
8. Why should people go and watch or participate in "The Dominion's" event?
·         The Dominion Curling Club Championship is an opportunity for curlers and fans to participate in an event that is geared towards the club curler.  It provides curlers with the opportunity to taste competitive curling and all its perks without coming face to face with the ‘big girls and boys’.  The chance to represent Saskatchewan at a national event is beyond describable.  Winning the right to become ‘Team Saskatchewan’ is overwhelming, empowering and fills you with a sense of pride like nothing else. As a spectator, it’s an opportunity to watch some good curling at a reasonable price. The integrity of the event and its purpose make participating and watching an enjoyable and memorable experience.
9. What is your most memorable curling moment?
·         My most memorable curling moment is undoubtedly when we won the Saskatchewan Dominion Curling Club Championship in March, 2011. It was heart stopping, tear jerking and breath taking.  We didn’t have any family there and after hugging each of my teammates, I still had some excitement to share. Lucky? unlucky? for him, official Vern Affeldt happened to be the next person in my path.  He got a huge hug and he stated crying too.  Each time I saw him after that, I got another huge hug.
10. Who is your favourite curler and why?
·         My favorite curler is Amber Holland.  Amber is a duck.  Even though she may be paddling as hard as she can under the surface of the water, she is cool, calm and her feathers are unruffled on the surface. I admire her strategy, her technique and mental strength.
